More from Ragtime West...



No, your eyes aren't playing tricks on you. This video IS sideways. But even if the video is not vertical, this instrument sounds great. These are new (not rebuilt) instruments made to order. This number is The Twelfth Street Rag. Next month we'll take a trip to a south seas island for a special treat - automated steel drums.In the meantime, happy listening.

Do You Remember These Musical Beauties ?



Here is a delightful sounding nickelodeon piano with multiple percussion instruments ( aka an Orchestrion ). My friend Art Reblitz had this model rebuilt in his shop for a customer of his. Watch as a nickel is dropped in the coin slot, and you will hear Scott Joplins Maple Leaf Rag. Art also orchestrated this arrangement specifically for this instrument.
